  I have had the tactical headsets C10 for three months. I have a homestudio and do mixing and mastering of songs and albums. Our music (In Experience Project) is progressive rock, the songs contain a lot of instruments and soundscapes, so careful listening in good headphones to distinguish details is needed. I have various types of over ear headphones and speakers. Nothing is perfect, and I compare to reference songs. Now I have gained some experience and can identify problem areas in tracks, if listening environment is fine (incl need of good earphones). I find the headset to have a balanced frequency response. Music sounds warm and I am pleased to listen to music (for enjoying). From mixing point of view, there is no dominant peak or loss at low or high frequency that makes mixing listening difficult when comparing mixes. Here it is important to have the headset earplugs properly in the ear. Otherwise the bass is substantially reduced. From the three sizes of earplug, there was none which fit my ears perfectly. I have to carefully place the earplug and listen to the bass so I know they are in properly. Once the plugs are in place, after some time I pay attention that they are still in place. While I am moving the plugs naturally move. This is a matter of user experience, while maybe a fourth size of earplug could be useful. I guess there are a variety of ear geometries for people! I travel a lot in my line of work. Since I am travelling I find the headset useful for comparing song mixes, I note down my considerations and later tune mixes when back in studio. I also appreciate the noise reduction. I have tried them in several transport situations, for airplane I prefer my over ear noise cancellation headphones but in other cases the C10 is more practical and has sufficient reduction of external sound. I have tinnitus so I use the headset a lot in order to not getting tired in the brain. Further, I make videos in my smart phone. I record snippets and arrange them in an app. Either I speak in the video, or make a voice over directly recorded using the app. All in smart phone. Then I edit the voice in the app to reduce frequencies (usually low frequencies which makes voice unclear). I find the headsets sufficient to keep a balanced mix, even though not (expected to be) perfect but good enough for uploading the final video directly without need to reference with over ear headphones to keep the voice sounding natural. I trust the C10 freqency response and my experience in mixing. I have no durability issues during these three months in various situations. It was difficult to place the (selected size of) silicon plug when I got the headset, but that is also useful since they stay in place. I have another pair from another producer which is too lose, I have several times found the silicon plug to be in my bag. In summary, I am very pleased with these and would buy a new pair without doubt if the headset would be lost.

  I’ve had problems with my hearing for many years and I have been using advanced hearing aid for more than 10 yrs. The damage includes loss of Hi frequence and and mid-range. This is a heavy drawback when you are into music and recording. The C10 is a big help when mixing and listening for details in the recorded material. They give me clear sound at lower gain level and therfore I can spend longer time in the studio before my ears calls for a break
